It’s official: Josh Holloway is returning to prime-time.
The Lost actor’s pilot Intelligence just received a series order at CBS for next season. He’ll play an agent at the “US Cyber Command” who has a microchip implanted in his brain that allows him to access the entire electromagnetic spectrum (so he gets free WiFi wherever he goes, at the very least).
The project, from Empire State writer Michael Seitzman, is bound to draw comparisons to J.J. Abrams’ new Fox series Almost Human, which chronicles an android police officer. (source)
How awesome is this!? Looking forward to seeing Josh on a regular basis on my screen again.

He enlists his hard-luck friend Blake (Holloway), who was a championship basketball coach, to coach his team. Armed with the theory that the right coach can make any team champions, they assemble a Dream Team of all the best dancers across the country. With only three months until Battle of the Year, Blake has to use every tactic he knows to get twelve talented individuals to come together as a team if they’re going to bring the Trophy back to America where it started. “LOST” and Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol star Josh Holloway has joined the cast of David Ayer’s upcoming Ten (formerly Breacher), Variety reports. He will star opposite the previously-announced Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sam Worthington, Terrence Howard, Dawn Olivieri, Joe Manganiello, Malin Akerman and Mireille Enos.
The film follows an elite DEA task force that deals with the world’s deadliest drug cartels. Specializing in complex mobile operations, the team executes a tactical raid on a cartel safe house. What looks to be a typical raid turns out to be an elaborate theft operation, pre-planned by the DEA squad. After hiding millions in stolen cash, the team believes their secret is safe – until someone begins assassinating them one by one.
The original screenplay for Ten arrives from Skip Woods (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, A Good Day to Die Hard). Bill Block, Paul Hanson, Joe Roth, Palak Patel and Al Ruddy will serve as producers. Alex Ott of Ayer’s Crave Films is executive producer. (source)
The trailer for Josh’s upcoming movie Battle of the Year has been released. The movie will be released on January 25, 2013.
Here’s a description of the movie:
With compelling characters and vibrant dance sequences, “Battle of the Year” is set in the international world of B-boying – the urban dance more commonly known as “breakdancing.”
Unforgettable images frame the intimate stories of an all-star American dance crew who, with the help of their tough coach (Josh Holloway), struggle to reach their dreams despite being misunderstood by society and even their own families. Their lives collide in France where their skills are put to the ultimate test: the “Battle of the Year” finals, with crews from 18 nations vying for the title of World Champion.
The film features electrifying dance performances and astonishing displays of power and grace, showing how a street dance from New York has evolved into an inspiring art form for a new generation around the world. (source)
